Greetings from the Odermatt Family
 
Getting to know a little bit about each of us!
 
Our Family consists of David Nickolas, 34 years old and goes by the name Nick. Nick is the dad and works hard to support our family. Eleanor Grace is 31 years old and goes by the name of Ellie, is the Mother and stays at home raising the children and trying to sane at the same time.
Sarah Anne was born Oct 2, 1988 and is the eldest and will be entering 5th grade this upcoming school year. She loves the color pink, drawing and loves to read.
Bethany Loren was born on Jan. 30, 1990 was just baptized this past year and is looking forward to being in 3 rd grade this next year. She loves the color blue, reading and animals.
Erin Jessica was born on Sept 13, 1991, yes that was a friday. She just learned to read this past year and is beginning to explore that world of reading. Her favorite color is yellow, and she likes to swim in our little pool, play with her friends.
Paul Nickolas was born on Feb, 19, 1993 and is our only boy. He is entering kindergarten next year and is very excited to be doing so. He loves cars, computer and swimming in the pool. His favorite color is green and is a good brother to his sisters, most of the time.
Samantha Lianne was born Oct 8, !995 and is our youngest child, She goes by the name Sami and is trying to be potty trained at the moment. She has definitely entered the terrible twos, thank goodness she is so cute, so that we can overlook the walls with crayon and the books destroyed by this little angel. Sami is learning to talk and practices constantly much to Mom and Dads enjoyment.
As things change we will update and put more info about our family.
 
Things We like to do!
Some of favorite things to do consist of reading all kinds of books. Eventually we will post some reviews of the books we have finished reading.
Nick is pretty busy just working and going to school and therefore does not have much free time, but he loves Star Trek and other Sci-Fi shows and books. He enjoys camping and we will be going in a couple weeks. Look for a summary of how we survived that later .
Ellie spends a fair amount of time on the computer, exploring, chatting and just playing. She also loves crafts, painting (if you want to see my paintings email me and I will email a copy of a couple back to you ) , doing memory books, reading, and also enjoys Sci-f/fantasyi books and movies.
We are working on this page and hope to make it more interesting as we figure out how to add and change things, but as it stands we are still learning and so this is still fairly boring .
 
Our Religion,
We are blessed to belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, some call it the mormon church. Nick and Ellie were both born into the church and can not imagine a life without it.
Nick was lucky to have been a missionary and served in Hokaido, Japan. He spent 18 months serving the Lord and the Church and managed not to freeze while doing it, what a miracle.
We were married in the temple of our Lord in Washington D.C. . It was a beautiful day and we are grateful we will be together with our family for all time and eternity.
Nick at this time serves as a Stake Missionary, but is due to be realsed from that soon. Ellie teaches the lesson at Homemaking meeting, the monthly meeting for the sisters in the ward to meet and learn how to take better care of themselves and their families, which is a good thing for her as she likes to talk and can talk fast. She has to teach that lesson in 15 min or less.
All of the children attend primary except Sami, who is still in the nursery. Sarah and Bethany are working on Achievement nights as well and are learning many things through this program, as well as spending time with other girls.
Our Church is very family oriented and concentrates on helping it members to obey the Lords commandments and to return again one day back to their Heavenly Father. They have programs that help the family to stay closer together like the Family Home Evening progam. That is a time every week where the family meets to discuss scripture, have fun and spend some real quality time together. The Church asks that the families have family prayer a couple times day as well as reading the scriptures together daily.
The Church also helps it members to stay healthy by giving us guidelines on health matters. We are asked to refrain from drinking alcohol, tea, coffe, and not to smoke, or to take drugs. We are admonished to excerise and make our bodies healthy (I still have a long way to go on that one ). We are not asked to be perfect but to strive for perfection.
